This year, the 2A group is as deep and talented as ever. Here is a look at some of the top quarterbacks in Class 2A in Iowa high school football in 2025:
TOP IOWA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL CLASS 2A QUARTERBACKS
Brock Badding, Carroll Kuemper, Senior
Badding piled up over 2,100 yards in the air and 19 touchdowns, throwing just nine interceptions among his 286 attempts.
Cal Bonifas, Bellevue, Senior
Bonifas completed 66 percent for 1,928 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Dylan Bosma, Unity Christian, Senior
One of the top athletes in the state, Bosma had 1,340 yards and 11 touchowns.
Jayden Daale, Central Lyon/George-Little Rock, Junior
As just a sophomore, Daale was on fire, throwing for over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns, completing 65 percent of his passes, adding another 657 yards and five scores on the ground.
Landon DeStigter, Western Christian, Senior
DeStigter had 17 passing touchdowns and just four interceptions, throwing for 1,633 yards.
Talan Fuson, Woodward-Granger, Senior
Fuson is a top athlete, as he ran for 902 yards and 13 touchdowns while completing 64 percent of his throws for 1,856 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Jackson Joerger, Denver, Junior
Joerger, as a sophomore, had 14 touchdowns and 1,646 yards, averaging 15 per completion.
Brody Kaestner, Alburnett, Junior
As just a sophomore, Kaestern was able to throw for 1,258 yards with 13 touchdowns, completing over 56 percent of his passes.
Judah Lock, Grand View Christian, Senior
Lock looks to build off a year in which he threw for 2,070 yards with 19 touchdowns.
Mack Murdock, Centerville, Sophomore
In his varsity debut as a ninth-grader, Murdock had eight touchdowns and just one interception among his 128 attempts, throwing for 1,001 yards.
Jaxon Paulsrud, Cherokee, Senior
A dangerous runner, Paulsrud had 866 yards and nine scores with his legs. He also completed 55 percent of his throws for nearly 1,000 yards and eight more touchdowns.
Quinn Street, Osage, Senior
Street racked up over 700 yards, completing 72 percent of his passes in a run-heavy offense. He had five passing touchdowns and averaged over 16 yards per completion.
