There was no change at the top of the largest classifications of Illinois high school football in-state rankings released this week, as Mount Carmel, Brother Rice and East St. Louis all held the top spots.

Mount Carmel, a perfect 3-0, received nine of the 11 first-place votes from members of the media in Class 8A. Brother Rice also earned nine in 7A and East St. Louis gathered eight in 6A.

The other No. 1 ranked teams are Crystal Lake (5A), Montini (4A), Byron (3A), Maroa-Forsyth (2A) and Central (1A) by the Associated Press.
