We move into Week 3 of the Illinois high school football season and with it, the latest Associated Press rankings have been revealed.

Leading the way in Class 8A is Mt. Carmel followed by Lincoln-Way East and Loyola Academy. 

One Illinois school, East St. Louis, holds the top spot in The Sporting News Midwest High School Football Top 25 with Loyola Academy coming in at No. 2 overall. Mt. Carmel is fourth and Lincoln-Way East sits sixth heading into the week.
