Week 7 is rivalry week in District 2-5A.

For the 100th time, historical rivals Ruston and Neville will face each other in Monroe. Neville holds a 51-45-3 edge in the series, but the road team has won the last two matchups in the series.

Ruston earned a District 2-5A opening win against Ouachita Parish last week to improve to 5-1. The Bearcats were helped by the return of Ahmad Hudson, who caught seven passes for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Neville also won its district opener with a resounding 56-6 win against Pineville. Junior quarterback Parker Robinson passed for 311 yards and two touchdowns to pace the Tigers.
