After a win against Acadiana, Ruston sets its sights on its out-of-state portion of its schedule. The first of those games begin Friday as it takes on a Cabot (Arkansas) squad looking to crawl out of an 0-2 hole.

This is the fourth straight year the Bearcats and Panthers have played -- with Ruston winning the three previous matchups. Ruston had over 500 yards in last season's game and won, 49-10.

Ruston defeated Acadiana, 49-7, last week and showed that it is still one of the state's top teams. Dalen Powell had a coming out party with 259 rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Cabot lost back-to-back games against Fayetteville and Bentonville West by a combined score of 118-38.
