John Curtis and Brother Martin might be going in different directions with their recent play, but anything can happen in the Catholic League, one of Louisiana's toughest districts.

The Patriots travel to Tad Gormley Stadium looking to keep their undefeated season intact, while the Crusaders hope to snap a two-game losing streak after losses to Archbishop Rummel and Edna Karr.

Curtis has won five straight in the series, which includes playoff wins in 2022 and 2024 -- the former being for the 2022 Division I select title.

John Curtis is off to a 5-0 start, but has won its three Catholic League games by a combined 14 points. Jewellz Tapp played hero in last week's game against Holy Cross with a game-clinching interception for a touchdown to give the Patriots a 21-13 win.

Brother Martin is the No. 6 team in Division I select and currently in the race for a first round bye. The Crusaders have talented receiver Easton Royal, one of the state top receivers for the class of 2027.
