Folsom stayed on top of Oak Ridge despite a strong effort from the Trojans on Friday, winning 28-9 in a rematch of the 2024 CIF-SJS D1 championship.
5-star BYU commit Ryder Lyons threw a touchdown pass each to four different Folsom receivers, with three of the Bulldogs' scores coming in the second half after they trailed 9-7 at halftime.
Oak Ridge took the opening kickoff and milked the clock about as well as you'll ever see, running down 11 minutes and three seconds before Tyler Andujar punched it in with 57 seconds left in the first quarter for the team's only touchdown.
Lyons threw his first touchdown to Powell from 15 yards out with about seven minutes left in the second quarter, and Oak Ridge went into halftime up 9-7 after a field goal.
In the third quarter, Lyons threw touchdowns of roughly 40 yards to Isaiah Williams and Rob Larson, and his touchdown to Jason Hill Jr. in the fourth quarter went most of the length of the field.
After opening with wins over Rocklin and Oak Ridge, Folsom already has a stranglehold of the Sierra Foothill League race. The Bulldogs still have to get through Del Oro, Whitney (Rocklin), Jesuit, and Granite Bay though.

Pregame
After beating Rocklin two weeks ago and taking a bye week, Folsom controls its own fate in the SFL as usual. With that said, the Bulldogs weren't exactly unstoppable in that 34-21 Rocklin win in which Ryder Lyons returned from injury, and Rocklin went on to get upset by Jesuit last week, so based solely on the last two weeks, Oak Ridge has a chance here. In fact, Oak Ridge's 2025 resume is absolutely on par with Folsom's thanks to its wins over St. Mary's (Stockton), Del Oro, Granite Bay, and Frontier. It's just hard to imagine the Trojans doing close to a 180 after losing 35-7 and 41-0 in last year's meetings with Folsom, but that was 2024 and it's currently too early to count them out.
