Celina senior defensive back LJ Taylor had a big night for the defending Class 4A Division I state champions in a 38-14 win over previously unbeaten Sulphur Spring on Oct. 10.
Taylor had had three punt returns for 140 yards and a touchdown, made three tackles and picked off a pass to help the Bobcats win their 23rd straight game. He also had a receiving touchdown on offense.
For his efforts, Taylor earned AllSportsPeople Texas Player of the Week from Week 7 by vote, covering games played from Oct. 6-12.
