Created in 2007, the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) has crafted a multi-day event featuring various forms of competition. It all depends on the level of the athlete (Blue, Purple, Black belt).
Divisions (male and female) competing include:
- Roosterweight
- Light-Featherweight
- Featherweight
- Lightweight
- Middleweight
- Medium-Heavyweight
- Heavyweight
- Super Heavyweight
- Ultra Heavyweight
Some of the most accomplished competitors participating this year include Everton Teixeira, Gabi Pessanha and Vinicius Inacio.

World IBJJF No-Gi Championship schedule 2025
- Dates: Thursday, Dec. 11-Saturday, Dec. 13
The IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship starts on Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It will conclude on Saturday, Dec. 13.

One of the top competitors is Everton Teixeira, a multi-time Open Karate and Fukuoka champion. He competes at the Rooster level. No Gi Grand Slam winner Lucas Castro also competes at that level.
Eight-time World Champion Gabi Pessanha returns to action, competing at the women's super-heavyweight level. Pound-for-pound heavyweight Helena Crevar will also be competing at the event.
Junny Ocasio, ranked fifth at the light-featherweight level, makes his return. The multi-time BJJ winner has competed in various rulesets, from submission-only to IBJJF rules. Multi-time champion Vinicius Inacio, ranked second, also competes in the division.
