The 2025 BMW Berlin Marathon takes place on September 21, welcoming nearly 80,000 participants from 160 nations to the German capital.

Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe, fresh off his London Marathon win, headlines the men’s field alongside defending champion Milkesa Mengesha and Tanzanian record holder Gabriel Geay.

On the women’s side, Kenya’s Rosemary Wanjiru and Ethiopia’s Mestawut Fikir look set for a tight battle on Berlin’s famously fast, record-breaking course.

Beyond the elites, the event doubles as a week-long festival of sport, with races for skaters, handcyclists, and schoolchildren.

The Sporting News has all the details on how to watch the 2025 Berlin Marathon.
