The mid-way point of the 2025 WNBA season means a break for talent and entertainment via the WNBA All-Star Game. Some of the top players face off against one another on July 19, while rookies get to showcase their skills.
This year, the event will take place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana. Caitlin Clark, who plays for the Indiana Fever, was set to captain one of the teams in her organization's town but will now miss the game due to injury. There's still plenty of talent set to star in Indianapolis, though.
Formats of competition for the All-Star Game have varied. It has evolved from East vs. West to the formation of team captains. Last season, Clark and WNBA players faced Team USA, the latter competing at the Olympics that year. This year, it's back to captains, MVP favorite Napheesa Collier leading opposite Clark's replacement.
