The Atlanta Dream have enjoyed a dream-like run in the 2025 WNBA season, racing out to an Eastern Conference-best 26-14 record with only a few regular-season games remaining. Atlanta will host Cameron Brink and the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday, in hopes of moving one step closer to cementing the No. 1 seed over the reigning-champion New York Liberty.
It's easy to see why a lot of analysts like the Dream to win the 2025 WNBA Finals. Karl Smesko's squad has it all — a breakout star in Allisha Gray, a pair of two-way mavens in Rhyne Howard and Jordin Canada, and a powerhouse trio of bigs in Brionna Jones, Brittney Griner and Naz Hillmon. Atlanta is loaded, and it has championship contention written all over it.

The Sparks will not be an easy out, though. Los Angeles started the week 11-8 in road games, the trio of Dearica Hamby, Kelsey Plum and Rickea Jackson has been phenomenal of late, and Cameron Brink remains one of the stronger bench players in the W. LA still has a shot to blitz into the playoffs, but it likely needs to win out to do so. Needless to say, this could be a very exciting game.
