There truly is no one like Katie Ledecky.
In this case, that's not even close to an exaggeration. The swimming legend is so much better at what she does than anyone else on the planet.
At a Pro Swim Series meet in Austin, where the times across the board where pretty underwhelming, Ledecky decided to blow everyone's minds.
She swam the 1500 meters in 15:23.21, which is the second-fastest time ever.
Of course, it's her record above her, and basically all the other times in the record books are hers, too.
This video captures the absurdity: Ledecky is at the wall before the other swimmers have begun their final lap.
Katie Ledecky with the second-fastest 1,500 ever tonight. All those swimmers hitting the wall next to her seconds later still have another lap to do. Wild. Pic.twitter.com/2rvYMf0PO6

She's the G.O.A.T. In women's distance swimming.
There have been few athletes in any discipline ever with the level of dominance Ledecky shows.
And she's not slowing down. You'd think at some point, age would at least rear its head slightly, maybe not enough to make Ledecky lose but at least to bring her back to the field.
But nope: Ledecky remains the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be.
