Tottenham star seals big Birthday surprise with new long-term contract image

Tottenham Hotspur have handed Mikey Moore a perfect 18th birthday gift — a brand-new long-term deal. The winger, currently on loan at Rangers, celebrated his milestone day by committing his future to Spurs.

The deal was agreed before his move to Scotland but could only be signed once Moore turned 18.

It comes after a breakthrough year for the teenager, who became Tottenham’s youngest-ever Premier League player last May against Manchester City.

Moore made 19 senior appearances last season, scoring once and setting up two goals.

Illness kept him out for part of the campaign, but his potential was clear enough for Spurs to lock him in for the long term.

A loan spell at Rangers is now expected to give him more minutes and experience before returning to fight for a place under Thomas Frank.

A lifelong Spurs fan, Moore joined the club’s youth setup as an under-nine and quickly rose through the ranks.

He starred for the U17 and U18 sides, winning both Premier League cups in the 2022–23 season. By 15, he was already playing for the U21s.

In Europe, Moore made headlines last season with a stunning late goal against IF Elfsborg in the Europa League, becoming England’s youngest scorer in a major European competition.

Teammate James Maddison even compared his flair to Neymar’s.

Spurs see Moore as one of their brightest prospects, even after adding attacking options like Mohammed Kudus and securing Mathys Tel permanently.

The club is confident the Rangers loan will prepare him for a bigger role in North London next season.

For now, Moore’s birthday celebrations will have to be split between cake and contract paperwork — a problem most teenagers wouldn’t mind having.
