Tottenham Hotspur have struggled with injuries in recent seasons, with Thomas Frank's first season in charge being no different.
James Maddison suffered an injury in preseason, ruling him out long-term, while Dominic Solanke and Kota Takai are nearing returns, with both back in training with the team.
Frank could be welcoming back another key member of the team sooner than expected.
Which Tottenham player could be back before the end of the year?
Speaking to the media ahead of Tottenham's Carabao Cup match against Doncaster, Frank outlined the injuries that the Spurs have and when players could return.
According to Frank, Dejan Kulusevski, who has been sidelined since May, could make a return to the pitch before the end of the year.

Frank said, "Kulusevski is a top player. I always liked him when I saw him from afar. Key player for us, key player for me.
"I'm not putting a month on it, but I want him back as soon as possible, and he's working hard to do that, as are the staff. He will be back before the end of this year."
The Swedish international underwent surgery on his patella and has been recovering since.
Kulusevski has been crucial for Tottenham, with the midfielder scoring seven times and assisting four times in the Premier League last season.
His return would be key for Tottenham, with his skills pairing well with new signing Xavi Simons.
