Harry Kane finally breaks silence on Premier League return rumours image

Harry Kane has set the record straight after weeks of speculation about a possible comeback to the Premier League.

The Bayern Munich striker, who recently smashed another milestone, insists he is not thinking about leaving Germany anytime soon.

The England captain reached 100 goals for Bayern during a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen, hitting the mark in just 104 matches.

That made him the fastest player in Europe’s top five leagues to score a century for one club in the 21st century, overtaking both Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As if breaking records wasn’t enough, Kane’s form has only fueled chatter of a return to English football.

What Harry Kane said?

Reports of a “secret clause” in his contract, which could reportedly allow a move next summer, only added more heat to the rumors.

Tottenham, Manchester United, and Chelsea were all mentioned as possible destinations. But Kane poured cold water on the talk after Friday’s match.

“No, I’m not thinking about PL return at the moment. I’m really happy here,” Kane told reporters. “I have two years left on my contract. I’m enjoying every moment. Bayern is the best place to win trophies, absolutely.”

The former Spurs star also downplayed chasing Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record of 260, despite sitting second on the all-time list with 213. “That’s not really on my mind,” Kane added.

“When I left England, I thought maybe I’d come back to achieve that. But since I’ve been here, I’ve really enjoyed playing at this level.”

Bayern chief Jan-Christian Dreesen backed Kane’s words, saying he doesn’t sense any desire from the striker to leave. For now, the only goals Kane is chasing are in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
