Croatia vs Morocco history
These two sides have met just twice before, and one of those was only a matter of weeks ago.
Forward Goran Vlaovic scored twice in two minutes to give Croatia a 2-0 lead when these teams first played each other back in 1996, meeting in the semifinal of the Hassan II Trophy in Casablanca.
After Morocco then scored in both halves to make it 2-2, Croatia showed the penalty prowess they have become renowned for to win 7-6 in a shootout.

The goalkeepers were the stars as Croatia and Morocco demonstrated the resilience that would take them to the latter stages of the finals when they clashed in their opening group-stage game in Qatar.
Dominik Livakovic denied Noussair Mazraoui and Achraf Hakimi after Yassine Bounou had kept Nikola Vlasic's effort out. Ivan Perisic and Luka Modric also went close for Croatia.
