After losing their first and second matches to Manchester City and Bournemouth, Vitor Pereira's Wolves must have felt a sigh of relief as they registered a close-fought 3-2 victory over West Ham in the EFL Cup on Tuesday. After going down 1-2, Wolves came fighting back from behind to seal the victory. Norwegian striker Jorgen Strand Larsen scored a brace in the 82nd and 84th minutes to give his team a morale-boosting victory.

Meanwhile, Everton recorded their first victory of this season over Brighton & Hove Albion after losing their season opener against newly promoted Leeds United. Soon after beating Brighton, the Toffees took no time and registered another 2-0 convincing victory over Mansfield Town in the EFL Cup.

Pereira is still without Leon Chiwome due to a knee injury whereas Toti Gomes will miss the fixture against Everton after he got sent off against Bournemouth.

Jose Sa is expected to return in goal, while Emmanuel Agbadou, Matt Doherty and Santiago Bueno will form the back three with Ki-Jana Hoever and David Wolfe providing width on either flank. 

Wolves' midfield will comprise Jean-Ricner Bellegarde's partnership with Joao Gomes, with Jhon Arias, Strand Larsen and Marshall Munetsi forming the front three.

Jordan Pickford will start in goal after Mark Travers played in midweek, and James Tarkowski and Michael Keane will continue to lead the backline. 

Jack Grealish will look to partner Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in attack, with Idrissa Gana Gueye providing the solidity to their midfield in the double pivot system.

Beto could push Thierno Barry back to the bench after he scored against Mansfield.
