The United States men will face their toughest test under Mauricio Pochettino as they host 15th-ranked Uruguay in an international friendly from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday.
A 2-1 win over Paraguay on Saturday moved the USMNT to a four-match unbeaten run, but that is secondary in comparison to that of their opponents who sport a six-game span without defeat.
Uruguay are coached by Pochettino's old mentor Marcelo Bielsa, who not only coached the U.S. Boss as a young player with Newell's Old Boys, but also was in charge of Argentina when Pochettino was an international player with his home nation.
The match is the final game for the United States in the 2025 calendar year, and they will not regroup again until March when the final pre-World Cup camp convenes.
