With the regular season done and dusted, all eyes will now shift towards the MLS Cup playoffs to crown the new champions.
Reigning champions LA Galaxy had a disappointing regular season, which saw them finish 14th in the Western Conference standings, thereby missing this year's playoffs and unable to defend their title.
Philadelphia Union won their second Supporters' Shield after finishing with the highest points tally across both conferences in the regular season, and will be one of the top contenders heading into the playoffs.
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will be somewhat disappointed after missing out on retaining their Supporters' Shield by one point, however, with the Argentinian legend in fantastic form, they will go all out to crown themselves as champions.
