Galatasaray return to Rams Park on Wednesday looking to build on a mixed start to their Champions League campaign.

The Turkish champions bounced back from a 5-1 hammering at Frankfurt with a stunning 1-0 win over Liverpool in Istanbul, showcasing both their fragility and resilience on Europe’s biggest stage.

Domestically, Okan Buruk’s side remain relentless — unbeaten in 20 Super Lig and cup outings — and arrive on the back of a 2-1 victory at Basaksehir, where Leroy Sane’s brace kept them five points clear at the summit.

Bodo/Glimt, meanwhile, continue to make waves in their maiden Champions League league-phase campaign. The Norwegian champions have held both Slavia Prague and Tottenham to 2-2 draws, showing impressive fight in matches filled with comebacks. Kjetil Knutsen’s free-scoring side have now struck at least twice in 10 of their last 14 European group games and are unbeaten in their past five (W2, D3).

Galatasaray vs. Bodoe/Glimt  lineups, team news

Sane silenced recent critics with a standout display in Galatasaray’s previous outing and is expected to keep his place on the right flank.

Mauro Icardi may drop to the bench after a quiet performance, with Victor Osimhen primed to lead the line, having scored in six straight European matches and reached double figures in Champions League goals.

With Wilfred Singo still out injured, Roland Sallai should continue at right-back, while Davinson Sanchez returns from suspension. Mario Lemina could be restored to the XI, though Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Sara — both on the scoresheet last time — are pushing to start again.

Galatasaray predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left):  Cakir (GK) — Sallai, Sanchez, Bardakci, Jakobs — Lemina, Torreira — Akgun, Gundogan, Sane — Osimhen.
Injured:  Singo.
Suspended:  None

Bodoe/Glimt, meanwhile, travel without Ulrik Saltnes, while Daniel Bassi and Ola Brynhildsen face late fitness checks. Kasper Hogh, who has 17 league goals but none yet in Europe, will once again spearhead the attack in Istanbul.

At the back, Odin Bjortuft remains a key figure — both defensively and in possession — having ranked second across the opening two Champions League rounds for line-breaking passes.

Bodoe/Glimt predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left):  Haikin (GK) — Sjovold, Bjortuft, Aleesami, Bjorkan — Berg, Fet, Auklend — Evjen, Hogh, Hauge.
Injured:  Saltnes, Bassi, Brynhildsen.
Suspended:  None
