It's a World Cup year, so every transfer movement by a player is crucial. Does it give them a better chance of playing for their national team at the 2026 tournament?
Josh Sargent is evidently pursuing such a move before the USMNT hosts in the United States. Toronto FC out of MLS is quite interested in the striker currently playing at Norwich City.
It sounds like Toronto has put an official $18 million bid in on Sargent:

The United States striker is part of a position group that is still in question. If Sargent puts together a strong handful of months, he can make the team and potentially even be a starter.
Obviously, every U.S. Star would love to get a chance to start at their home World Cup.
Sargent is pursuing his best chance he's got to make that happen.
