Scotland needed a near-miracle to ensure it made it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup through the UEFA qualifying process.
Now, the Scottish side will come to the tournament next summer with a brutal task on its hands after the draw on Friday determined a brutal group for the Scots.
Scotland is trying to end a major drought. They've played in eight World Cups and never made it out of the group stage.

Scotland was drawn into Group C for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Who is in Scotland's World Cup group?
Scotland's World Cup draw includes:
- Brazil
- Morocco
- Haiti
Brazil has won the World Cup five times, more than any other side in the history of the tournament.
Morocco reached the semifinals in 2022 in Qatar, the first African nation to ever make it that far.
This will be Haiti's second appearance at the World Cup, 52 years after the first in 1974. That will be a match Scotland has to win.
In the 48-team World Cup, the top-two finishers in each group advance to the knockout rounds, as well as the eight-best third-place teams.
