Liverpool's 2022/23 Premier League season ended in frustration as Jurgen Klopp's side missed out on a top-four Champions League qualification spot in the run-in.

Klopp has looked to move quickly, to prepare for the 2023/24 campaign, with Argentina World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister already completing a move to Anfield, as part of an expected summer overhaul.

Liverpool will be determined to ensure they are at least back in top-four contention this season alongside a return to the Europa League for the first time since Klopp's debut campaign on Merseyside.

Liverpool best & worst Premier League finish

Liverpool's sole Premier League title win came under Klopp, in the Covid-19 disrupted campaign of 2019/20, as their best-ever Premier League finish.

However, Klopp was also involved in Liverpool's joint worst Premier League finish, in his first few months at the club, after replacing Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.

Liverpool have ended up in eighth place on three occasions, two of which included a mid-season manager change, in 1993/94, as Roy Evans replaced Graeme Souness, and in 2015/16 when Klopp arrived to succeed Rodgers, and in 2011/12 with Kenny Dalglish.
