The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw could've gone better for Ghana.
The Black Stars have been drawn into a difficult group, topped by England. The draw took place Friday ahead of next summer's tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Ghana has a strong history at the World Cup and will be one of a bunch of talented African nations at this new 48-team edition.
But to advance to the knockout rounds, the Black Stars will have some work to do.

In the last decade or so, Croatia has followed suit as a threat at major tournaments.

In the 48-team World Cup, the top-two finishers in each group advance to the knockout rounds, as well as the eight-best third-place teams.
