West Ham United head to Everton in Premier League action on September 29 in the Hammers' first game after Graham Potter was sacked.

Potter's exit was confirmed on Saturday after a poor start to the 2025/26 campaign, with four defeats from the first five league games of the season.

Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to be in place in time for the trip to Merseyside, although exactly what impact the former Nottingham Forest boss can have on preparations for this fixture is difficult to determine.

Ex-West Ham manager David Moyes is enjoying life back at Everton with three games unbeaten at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium home.

Moyes made wholesale changes for the midweek Carabao Cup loss at Wolves and he will recall his main stars for the visit of West Ham.

Everton's clear focus is on the Premier League this season but another early cup exit has caused frustration amongst the Toffees fanbase.

Centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite remains out for the hosts with a thigh problem and summer signing Merlin Rohl is struggling with a groin injury.

Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will come back in after starting on the bench at Wolves.

Everton predicted starting XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko — Gueye, Iroegbunam — Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish — Beto

Injured: Branthwaite (thigh), Rohl (groin, doubtful)
Suspended: None

Exactly how West Ham will set out is difficult to say given the departure of Potter and his backroom team. Nuno is expected to be in place by the time of Monday's game, but it's unlikely he will make wholesale changes to the set-up so quickly.

Key midfielder Tomas Soucek out as he serves the second game of a two-match ban. Niclas Fullkrug could lead the line after Callum Wilson struggled to make an impact last weekend against Crystal Palace, but the Germany international is yet to score this season.

West Ham predicted starting XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Areola (GK) — Walker-Peters, Kilman, Mavropanos, Diouf — Ward-Prowse, Fernandes — Bowen, Paqueta, Summerville — Fullkrug

Injured: Wan-Bissaka (abdominal)
Suspended: Soucek
