Burnley vs. Leeds United lineups: Predicted starting XI, team news, injury latest as Farke confirms Gnonto blow image

Leeds United head to Burnley on their Premier League return from the international break on October 18.

The two sides battled for the EFL Championship title last season as Daniel Farke's side eventually sealed the crown in dramatic style on the final day of the campaign.

Scott Parker's Clarets matched Leeds on 100 points, but they were forced settle for second place based on overall goal difference.

A return to the top flight has been tricky for both Farke and Parker with Burnley managing just one win from seven and Leeds faring slightly better with two.

Battles between them were very tight last season, with a 0-0 draw at Turf Moor, and a narrow 1-0 win for Burnley at Elland Road.

Parker is unlikely to make too many changes to his team despite Burnley's five-game winless run in the Premier League.

Long-term absentees Jordan Beyer and Zeki Amdouni remain out, but winger Jaidon Anthony has been passed fit after recovering from a dead leg.

The main call for the hosts centres on Lyle Foster after he withdrew from the South Africa camp due to a muscle strain, and Parker will make a late decision on his No. 9.

Burnley predicted starting XI (5-4-1, right to left): Dubravka (GK) — Walker, Laurent, Tuanzebe, Esteve, Hartman — Tchaouna, Cullen, Luis, Anthony — Foster

Injured: Amdouni (ACL), Beyer (thigh), Roberts (knee), Foster (muscle, doubt)
Suspended: None

Farke confirmed no fresh injuries following the international break but also no change on his current absentee list.

Wales international Daniel James is back in training but not fit enough to return and Farke, indicated Wilfried Gnonto and Lucas Perri are still at least a week away from a comeback.

Noah Okafor will be assessed closer to kickoff with the Swiss star struggling with an adductor issue.

Leeds predicted starting XI (4-3-3, right to left): Darlow (GK) — Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson — Longstaff, Ampadu, Stach — Aaronson, Calvert-Lewin, Harrison

Injured: Gnonto (hernia), James (ankle), Perri (thigh), Gray (hip), Okafor (adductor, doubt)
Suspended: None
