Manchester United suffered a crushing 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in their last Premier League match on September 14 at Etihad Stadium.
The loss in the first Manchester derby of the season added to the Red Devils underwhelming start to the campaign, where they have secured only one win in four matches of the top flight so far.
Man United, who currently stand 14th in the league table with four points, were also eliminated from the second round of the Carabao Cup after suffering a humiliating 12-11 loss on penalties against EFL League Two club Grimsby Town last month.
The Red Devils will be looking to overcome their struggles and poor form in the upcoming matches, and it appears that head coach Ruben Amorim has been handed a boost to aid that.
On Wednesday, Lisandro Martinez took to his official Instagram account and shared a picture of himself jogging alongside United physiotherapist Ibrahim Kerem at Carrington during his personalised training programme.

Martinez suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear against Crystal Palace in February this year and underwent surgery soon after. The Argentine star has missed a total of 43 games for Man United so far.

Even though a definitive timeline for his comeback has not been announced yet, Martinez's recent social media update has given fans hope that the 27-year-old star could return to the pitch soon.
What's next for Lisandro Martinez and Manchester United?
Man United will be hosting Chelsea at Old Trafford in their next Premier League clash on September 20.
Martinez's return could potentially benefit United, especially considering that the Red Devils haven't maintained a single clean sheet so far this season.
However, reports have suggested that Martinez is unlikely to return to the pitch immediately, making Saturday's match against Chelsea potentially too early for his comeback. The centre-back is expected to grace the pitch after the upcoming international break in October.
