Denzel Dumfries has opened the door to a possible Premier League move after admitting he would “certainly be interested” in testing himself in England.
The Inter Milan defender has been a mainstay at San Siro since arriving from PSV Eindhoven in 2021 for £12.3m [$16.6m].
The Dutch International hit a peak form under under Simone Inzaghi, scoring 11 goals across all competitions as Inter reached the Champions League final.
The 29-year-old played a starring role in UCL Semifinal win over Barcelona and also showed consistency in Serie A.
That progress did not go unnoticed in Manchester, where Pep Guardiola’s side weighed up a right-back signing after Kyle Walker’s exit to Burnley in a deal around £5m [$6.7m].

Man City reportedly initiated discussions with Inter earlier this summer aware that Dumfries had a £21.6m [$29.2m] release clause reportedly active until mid-July.
However, no concrete progress followed despite initial contacts.
Man City also tracked Newcastle’s Tino Livramento, but talks reportedly stalled due to Newcastle’s reluctance to sell.
What Dumfries said about the Premier League?
Dumfries, who scored the only goal for the Netherlands in their 1-1 FIFA World Cup qualifier draw against Jan Urban’s Poland, said he would love the chance to play in England.

“The Premier League is a fantastic competition. I’m happy at Inter, but I think I could also do very well in England,” Dumfries said [via Metro].
“If there were a professional opportunity, I would certainly be interested.”
