Alexander Isak makes surprising decision after record Liverpool transfer image

Alexander Isak’s £125 million move to Liverpool was one of the biggest stories of the transfer window.

It set a new British record fee and ended weeks of tension with Newcastle, where the forward had effectively refused to play.

But just days after sealing the switch, the striker has made a surprising decision while on international duty with Sweden.

The 25-year-old is back with his national team for World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Kosovo.

Fans expected to hear more from him after his dramatic exit from St. James’ Park. Instead, he is keeping quiet — at least for now.

Sweden’s press officer Petra Thoren explained the situation: “Alexander will not do any media ahead of the match against Slovenia. We are in dialogue with Alexander on this issue. But given the circumstances of his coming in late on Monday, it’s not long until the World Cup qualifiers, he wants to focus on preparations and getting started properly and preparing for the matches.”

Asked if that could change later, she added: “I don’t guarantee that he will be available to the media at any time during this period. But I also don’t rule out that it could be that way. We’re taking it day by day.”

Isak has already said his goodbyes to Newcastle fans on social media, thanking them for three “unforgettable years.” But beyond that, he is staying silent.

For now, his focus is on helping Sweden and then preparing for his Liverpool debut, likely against Burnley on September 14.

One thing is clear — Isak prefers to let his feet do the talking. And if those feet start scoring goals at Anfield, Reds supporters won’t mind the silence.
