Chelsea signed a whole host of attacking talent in the recently concluded summer transfer window, and some of them are already proving to be astute additions to the side.
But none of them have made a more impressive start to life at Stamford Bridge than Joao Pedro, as the Brazilian has hit the ground running for his new club.
In just three Premier League matches so far, the Brazilian has scored 2 goals and also racked up two assists, thereby establishing himself as an integral part of the Blues squad.
Pedro will have to keep his good form going in the absence of Liam Delap, who has been ruled out for up to 2 months with a hamstring injury.
While Chelsea’s decision to sign Pedro is proving to be a masterstroke at the moment, they weren’t the only side interested in landing the versatile striker.
One of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals were also interested in signing Pedro, but the player chose to move to West London instead.

Joao Pedro reveals the reason why he chose to join the Blues
In a recent interview with the Evening Standard, Pedro revealed the reason behind joining Chelsea and also added that there was at least one more Premier League club vying for his signature.
“When I was in Brighton, I was missing London a little bit,” João Pedro admits. “I had a chance to move to another club, but I chose Chelsea because it’s in London, it’s a big club, and I knew in my head it was the right move.”

The report states that the other club he is referring to is Newcastle United, who failed with a bid days before he joined Chelsea.
In the end, it must be said that Chelsea are lucky that Pedro chose to join them, as he is proving to be one of the best acquisitions of the summer transfer window.
