Chelsea enjoyed a busy summer transfer window with a number of incomings and outgoings taking place at the club.
However, Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool were the talk of the town as they smashed the league’s transfer record not once but twice in the same window.
While the Blues believe that their squad is stronger than it was last season, it is still not as strong as the Reds’, who left no stone unturned in their attempts to back their manager in the transfer market.
The Merseyside giants made several impressive signings, including Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. In addition, they finally signed Alexander Isak from Newcastle United on deadline day for a mammoth fee.
Meanwhile, Chelsea also added some serious firepower to their attack with the signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
Now, while the debate continues about which of the two clubs had the better transfer window, a former Chelsea winger has weighed in with his opinion on the matter.

Pat Nevin feels that Joao Pedro to Chelsea is a better deal than Alexander Isak to Liverpool
So far this season, Pedro has had the bigger impact for his club as he has managed five goals in six games across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Wirtz is still trying to find his feet as a Liverpool player.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin believes that Pedro to Chelsea is a better deal than Wirtz to Liverpool.
Nevin told The Mirror, “The club have brought Joao Pedro in for half the price of Isak. Is Isak really twice the player that Joao Pedro is? I don’t think so. He’s a fabulous player, he’s probably better than Joao Pedro at the moment, but if you’re looking at smart money, then Chelsea have got the better deal.”
Pedro’s performances at Chelsea are even more impressive given that he is still trying to prove himself at the highest level.
But if his first few games are anything to go by, he has all the necessary qualities to succeed in the Premier League.
