Barcelona have reportedly made up their mind on Robert Lewandowski's future beyond the 2025/26 season.
As the club continue to make harsh financial decisions a recent update from La Liga means their budget will be reduced once again in 2026.
La Liga previously cut Barcelona's salary cap for 2025/26 to €350m [£305m] from €462m [£402m] after months of delays over confirmations on sponsorship deals and the sale of VIP boxes at the redeveloped Camp Nou.
That will have a knock-on effect over Hansi Flick's ability to sign new players next summer and agree contract extensions with current stars.
Lewandowski is one of those names out of contract at the end of the current campaign - alongside Dutch international Frenkie de Jong - and Deco has previously admitted the situation is complex on the veteran striker.
"It's a different situation with Robert [to Frenkie]. He was important and remains so for us. I think, given his age and career stage, he’ll assess it year by year. There comes a time when we don’t make many plans for the future."

Lewandowski has scored 73 La Liga goals in 110 games since joining from Bayern Munich ahead of the 2022/23 season with 105 in 156 across all competitions.
Barcelona opt against Robert Lewandowski contract renewal
The club do have an option to extend his deal on into 2026/27, alongside a wage reduction, but as per Diario Sport, the call has been made not to offer a renewal.

Barcelona will not allow a January exit, due to Lewandowski's importance in the squad, and the 37-year-old will not request one as he remains committed in Catalonia.
Concerns over an injury-hit start to the season are one of the reasons for the call and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund has been touted as a possible replacement.
The move has also been made to allow Lewandowski to focus on potentially leading Poland at the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer.
The former Bayern Munich hitman does not want speculation over his club future to impact the tournament and Barcelona will respect that stance.
With 86 goals in 160 international caps, Lewandowski is Poland's all-time record goal scorer and appearance maker, however, they are likely to have to settle for a playoff spot, with the Netherlands leading Group G.
