It felt like the big decision for Team Canada's Olympic hockey roster.

In the end, Macklin Celebrini made it seem like not much of a decision at all.

Canada couldn't leave the 19-year old phenom off the team.

On Tuesday night, ESPN's Emily Kaplan confirmed that Celebrini has "made the team."

Celebrini was the No. 1 overall pick by the San Jose Sharks in the 2024 NHL Draft.

He's having a banner second season. Through 39 games, Celebrini has 21 goals and 39 assists for 60 points. He had the most points before Christmas of any teenager in NHL history.

Canada clearly has a huge player pool with immense talent to choose from, so younger players aren't always the selection.

But in this case, Celebrini is playing like he's one of the best hockey players on the planet, and that's because he is one of the best hockey players on the planet.

Celebrini made the choice easy for Canada. He's going to the Olympics.
