The Washington Commanders have two key injuries to monitor this week with quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

Daniels sustained a dislocated elbow in the Week 9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Initially, it was feared Daniels would miss the rest of the season, but tests have revealed the injury isn't that serious.

As for McLaurin, he hasn't played since Week 8 after re-injuring his quad that kept him out for multiple games earlier in the campaign.

Here's what we know about McLaurin's and Daniels' statuses for the Week 13 contest against the Denver Broncos.

Will Jayden Daniels return in Week 13?

No, Daniels is not expected to play this week.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn revealed on Monday that Daniels will practice this week, but is unlikely to suit up on Sunday against Denver.

"It's important that Jayden's getting going, learning to play this position at the highest level competitively," Quinn said of Daniels. "Also doing it safely. Those are reps that you develop as well. It's a skill just like throwing and processing. All those things are important."

"You're just got to try to do what's best for the player," Quinn said. "We know what we're looking to do and how we want to do it, but by no means are we careless about that. It's important not just for Jayden, but important for our entire team."

Based on the fact that Daniels will practice this week, that suggests there's a decent chance he plays in Week 14. We'll know more once the Commanders begin their practice week on Wednesday.

Will Terry McLaurin return in Week 13?

Quinn revealed that McLaurin could return soon, although he would not commit to the veteran wideout playing this week just yet.

"Terry McLaurin, who has missed seven of the past eight games because of a quad injury, could return soon though Quinn said he's not yet sure when that might happen," ESPN's John Keim wrote.

McLaurin did not practice at all last week, but he was a participant in the team's light practice on Monday. We don't have an exact participation level, though, as Washington wasn't required to put out an injury report on Monday.

That said, any semblance of participation amounts to an upgrade after McLaurin didn't practice at all last week.

Based on all the information we have, we would say McLaurin has a better than 50/50 shot at playing in Week 13.
