The Washington Commanders have had a season to forget, and are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. Marcus Mariota made his seventh start of the season in relief of an injured Jayden Daniels, and put together a respectable performance against a terrific Broncos defense in the 27-26 loss.
While the Commanders sit at 3-9 and the playoffs aren't in their future, fans still want to see Daniels under center, and they will get their wish on Sunday. Per Adam Schefter, Daniels will be good to go against the Minnesota Vikings.
"Commanders HC Dan Quinn confirmed Jayden Daniels will start Sunday vs. The Vikings," Schefter reports.
Daniels suffered an elbow injury at the end of Washington's loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. He also missed a series of games early in the season after a Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers in which he was sacked four times. He returned October 5th in a 27-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
