Terry McLaurin injury update: Latest news on Commanders WR after Thursday's practice image

The Washington Commanders will look to improve their record to 3-1 on Sunday, as the team will travel to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to square off against the Atlanta Falcons.

Though Washington is coming off a 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week and have some momentum heading into the matchup with Atlanta, a few key players on Dan Quinn's squad are dealing with injuries, including star wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

McLaurin injured his quad during the Commanders' victory over the Raiders last week, and it looks like the injury could cause him to miss Sunday's contest in Atlanta.

According to multiple reports from Washington practice, McLaurin isn't practicing for the second straight day, meaning his status for the Commanders' bout with the Falcons is incredibly uncertain.

"Commanders WR Terry McLaurin (quad) isn't practicing for the second straight day," Tashan Reed of The Washington Post said on X.

Additonally, McLaurin recently visited Dr. William Meyers to take a look at this injury, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport (H/T NBC4 Sports' JP Finley)

McLaurin is off to a slow start to the year for his standards, posting just 10 receptions for 149 yards through three games. However, his impact on the offense is undeniable, so it would be a major boost if the two-time Pro Bowler can play this weekend.
