After serving as the Washington Commanders' lead back in Week 1, Jacory Croskey-Merritt is off to a quiet start against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2.
Croskey-Merritt carried the rock 10 times for 82 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground against the New York Giants, delivering on all the promise he showed during the offseason.
However, things aren't off to a great start for the upstart seventh-round rookie on Thursday night against the Packers.
Is Jacory Croskey-Merritt playing tonight?
UPDATE: Croskey-Merritt is getting his first snaps on the Commanders' third drive, just like last week.
He did not get a carry but was targeted. Unfortunately, the throw from Jayden Daniels was errant and fell incomplete.
END OF UPDATE
UPDATE: We're now through two Commanders drives and still no touches for Croskey-Merritt.
It is worth noting that Croskey-Merritt didn't get his first touch until Washington's third drive last week, so the Commanders might be following the same approach.
END OF UPDATE
Croskey-Merritt is indeed active tonight, he just hasn't seen the field or a touch yet. On Washington's first drive of the game, the Commanders rolled with the veteran, Austin Ekeler, who tallied two receptions for seven yards.
We should see the rookie get involved very soon.
