The Washington Commanders will officially be without two of their best offensive players in the Week 4 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Head coach Dan Quinn revealed on Friday that both quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Terry McLaurin have been ruled out for Sunday.
Daniels will now miss his second straight game thanks to a knee sprain. The 2024 first-round pick did not miss any games during his rookie campaign.
"(Daniels is) working incredibly hard, around the clock, to get back. Ultimately doctors haven't cleared him just yet," Quinn said.
McLaurin, who is now considered week-to-week, per Quinn, is missing his first game of the season after suffering a quadriceps injury in Week 3.
With Daniels out, the Commanders will once again turn to Marcus Mariota, who played well in place of the sophomore signal-caller last week.
Meanwhile, at wide receiver, the Commanders will be looking for a pair of youngsters to step up in Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane, as Washington also won't have the services of veteran Noah Brown, who was ruled out.
