John Harbaugh met with Jaxson Dart as part of his interview process with the New York Giants.
He never spent time with Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward before opting to take the Giants job and not even take part in his Thursday interview with the Titans.
Add another name to the list of Ward's doubters.
The NFL, more than anything else, is a quarterback league. A coveted coach like Harbaugh wouldn't take a job where he felt the QB couldn't help him win games.
That the Giants and Titans were two of his three noted interviews (also Falcons) made for a fascinating comparison. Ward was the first QB taken (No. 1) in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dart was the second (No. 25).
There's surely more that went into Harbaugh's decision than that, but it must've been part of it.
And on that front, Harbaugh felt he wanted to be with Dart.

Ward is used to this, of course.
He had only two scholarship offers, both from the FCS level, out of high school.
If Ward was listed on recruiting websites at all, it was with 0 stars.
After starring at Incarnate Word, he followed coach Eric Morris to Washington State, and he shone there, too.
That finally got him his big chance at the University of Miami, and he parlayed that into being the first overall pick.
Ward struggled to begin his rookie season with the Titans, but by the end, he looked like a franchise QB.
Some head coach will get the chance to work with him. It won't be Harbaugh.
