Any head coach's job will be at risk with a 0-4 record. Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan is in that exact position. However, he shows no signs of concern.
On Monday, when reporters asked him about his coaching future, Callahan said he does not look for guarantees.
"I don't look for assurances," he said. "I can tell you that the people in the building have been supportive... assurances come when you're winning games."
Following the Titans' 26-0 shutout loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday, calls for Callahan's firing have intensified. It marked Tennessee's first shutout loss since 2019 and is the franchise's most lopsided shutout defeat since the 59-0 blowout at the hands of the New England Patriots in 2009.
None of this suggests he will be fired anytime soon.
Earlier on Monday, Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky tweeted, "I'm not expecting anything to happen."
So, despite the early skid, an imminent coaching change appears unlikely.
