The Tennessee Titans have a daunting task to start their 2025 season, as they'll head to Denver to face the Broncos to kickoff the Cam Ward era. They added some new protection up front this offseason to keep their quarterback safe, signing veterans Kevin Zeitler and Dan Moore as new starters.
It's the latter that Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report took focus on, adding Moore onto the team of most overpaid players in the NFL.
"Moore gave up a league-high 12 sacks in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus, and he's never sniffed a Pro Bowl while posting so-so grades throughout his four-year career," Gagnon writes. "The 26-year-old was only a fourth-round pick in 2021 and has looked like a borderline starting-caliber player for much of his career thus far. It's puzzling that the rebuilding Titans gave him a four-year, $82 million deal; Moore has yet to prove he's worth a top-12 tackle salary."
Many were surprised to see Moore get such a large deal due to all of the factors Gagnon pointed out. Being that it was a thin tackle class in free agency, Moore got top-of-the-market money. We'll find out soon enough if he was worth the hefty pay day.
