Cam Ward lays bare frustrations as Titans face fallout after 26-0 Texans loss image

Rookie quarterback Cam Ward didn't sugarcoat his performance on Sunday after the Tennessee Titans were shut out 26-0 by the Houston Texans.

In the postgame interview, when a reporter asked to describe how he played, Ward offered a blunt assessment: "A*s."

On the team's complete shutdown, Ward openly took responsibility and expressed frustration with multiple aspects.

"Everything from interception to a penalty to an incompletion by me, a bad ball. And then once you pass the 50, you're just not continuing to drive," he said.

Ward acknowledged the team's alarming situation.

"If we keep it a buck right now, we a*s," he said. "We own for it. At this point, we got nothing to lose. We dropped a quarter of our f***ing games and we've yet to do anything. So we have to lock in."

He discussed the importance of everyone taking responsibility, from the offensive line to the defensive front and special teams. Ward acknowledged that the Titans haven't played as a cohesive unit yet this season.

"That's just something that we want to preach about every day," he added. "We gotta do better, and we're doing that, but it has to show up on Sundays. It hasn't shown up yet , but it's gotta show up next week."

The road ahead only gets tougher for the Titans. At 0-4, a win would provide much-needed relief. Right now, the rookie quarterback owning his mistakes and calling out the whole team could be a sign of something positive.
