Early on Thursday Night Football, Sean Tucker plunged in from a yard out for a Tampa Bay Buccaneers touchdown.

Why is Sean Tucker getting goal-line carries over Bucky Irving?

The Bucs obviously like Tucker.

The Thursday Night Football announcing crew said head coach Todd Bowles told them that Tucker has been one of their most consistent players this season.

Tucker is nominally the RB3, but when Irving was out, he had a monster three-TD game against the Buffalo Bills. He can clearly play.

He's also a big, strong back. He looks like a finisher that can get the ball over the line.

The Bucs were giving him that chance.

It allows Irving to stay fresh after missing a lot of the season with injury.

It also rewards Tucker for being so reliable all season.
