Is Mike Evans playing tonight? Why Buccaneers WR is off to slow start in Week 7 image

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a key piece of their offense back in Week 7, as wide receiver Mike Evans was finally cleared to return to the field.

Evans missed the previous three games due to a hamstring injury, an issue he is all too familiar with. However, Evans returned to practice this week and turned in a full session before suiting up on Monday night against the Lions.

Unfortunately, we haven't heard much from Evans early on in the Monday night game. Here's a closer look at what's happening in Detroit.

Is Mike Evans playing tonight?

UPDATE: Evans has been ruled out with a concussion and shoulder injury.

UPDATE: Evans suffered what looked like a head injury in the second quarter and it's not looking good for his chances of returning. We'll update this page after we know more.

UPDATE: Evans got another target on the Bucs' fourth drive but couldn't get both feet down to complete the catch. We're going to have to start a Mike Evans support group if this keeps up.

UPDATE: Evans was targeted on the Bucs' third drive and nearly made an incredible catch but couldn't reel it in. He did draw a pass interference, but that won't get us any fantasy points.

Yes, Evans is active and has even gotten a target through two drives, he just couldn't connect with Baker Mayfield on the pass.

The Bucs' offense is not playing well early on, so nobody has really had a chance to make plays so far. We wouldn't expect that to last, though.
