Is Chris Godwin coming back in Week 11? Latest injury update on Buccaneers WR image

Wide receiver Chris Godwin is just one of multiple Tampa Bay Buccaneers dealing with an injury right now.

Godwin suffered a fibula issue in Week 5 and has not played or practiced since going on the shelf with his injury. When counting the Week 10 loss to the New England Patriots, Godwin has now missed four games in a row.

With Mike Evans (clavicle) out for an extended period of time, the Bucs could really use Godwin's services as soon as possible.

But will the veteran return in Week 11? Here's the latest.

Is Chris Godwin coming back in Week 11?

It doesn't not appear that the veteran wide receiver will play in Week 11 against the Buffalo Bills, and it's likely he'll be out multiple more games.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Bucs aren't going to rush Godwin, who has a rough past with injuries. Fowler says Godwin might be out until late-November, or even into December.

"So, him coming back with the injury last year as well, and then he aggravated his fibula early in the year, they just don't want to press it with him," Fowler said.

"They're thinking late November, December with Chris Godwin, so we'll take it week to week with him," the ESPN reporter tacked on.

That creates a fairly wide window for return for Godwin.

Based on Fowler's report, we would put his possible return anywhere from Week 12 (Nov. 23) to Week 14 (Dec. 7). If the Bucs decide to put Godwin on IR this week, he wouldn't be eligible to return until Week 15.

There is no indication the Bucs are going to do that, but it remains a possibility if the team doesn't expect him back after three more games.

In terms of when we can expect the next update on Godwin, that should come no later than Wednesday, when the Buccaneers release their initial Week 11 injury report.
