The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly expected to be without running back Bucky Irving for at least the Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Irving is not expected to play on Sunday as he deals with a foot injury. Fowler adds that Irving could miss next week's game versus the San Francisco 49ers, also.

"Bucs RB Bucky Irving (foot) is expected to miss Sunday’s game vs. Seahawks and is in danger of missing next week vs. 49ers, per source," Fowler reported.

Irving suffered his foot injury in the Week 4 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and was spotted wearing a walking boot and using crutches on Wednesday. Irving did not practice this week.

Prior to his injury, Irving posted the best game of his 2025 season, with the Bucs back posting 165 yards from scrimmage, including 102 yards and a touchdown through the air.

With Irving officially sidelined, the Bucs will turn to veteran Rachaad White as their lead back, and Sean Tucker will mix in to spell him. Fowler notes that rookie Josh Williams is likely to be active to serve as the No. 3 running back.

Through four games this season, White has tallied 23 carries for 108 yards (4.7 yards per carry) and one touchdown while adding eight receptions for 34 yards, showing his dual-threat ability.

The Seahawks are surrendering the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season, but volume alone makes White a strong flex play, at worst.
