The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were likely feeling good after their Week 1 win, but now, the franchise might just be in the best mood if Todd Bowles' words are anything to go by.
With receiver Chris Godwin on the comeback trail from his ankle injury and tackle Tristan Wirfs also rehabbing, the injured duo was thought to be a little way away from returning.
But the pair hit the practice field on Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity as they look to ramp up to an eventual return to the starting lineup.
Many would expect that in the next couple of weeks, both Godwin and Wirfs could be ready to go, but Bowles, when asked if Wirfs could be ready this week, he delivered a sentence that will send Tampa Bay fans crazy.
“Both of them actually can, but we'll see how the week goes," Bowles said of their return. "We got to see how recovery goes from today to tomorrow to the next day, and then we'll kind of go from there."

Buccaneers close to getting offensive reinforcements
So, while Godwin and Wirfs are back practicing, don't expect them to play against the Houston Texans in Week 2.
Given it was Wirfs' first practice since July, he will be on a ramp-up period, no doubt, and we can expect the same for Godwin. At this time of the season, there is no reason to rush the pair back, and based on the Week 1 performance against the Atlanta Falcons, maybe Tampa Bay can afford to hold the pair back a week.
But the fact that they are practicing is a good sign, and now that Bowles has given hope to the pair potentially seeing action in Week 2, we will be watching eagerly over the coming days to see how the duo is traveling in their comeback attempt.
