The Seattle Seahawks did exactly what we expected them to in Week 13 and handily defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 26-0.

The deck was very stacked against the Vikings, who were forced to start rookie signal-caller Max Brosmer in hostile territory against an elite Seahawks defense. Seattle did exactly what it should have in that situation.

While the Seahawks emerged victorious, the Los Angeles Rams lost to the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers topped the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Now that the Seahawks' Week 13 result is in the books, here's how it impacted their standing in the NFC West and playoff picture going into Week 14.

NFC West standings

1. Los Angeles Rams (9-3)

2. Seattle Seahawks (9-3)

3. San Francisco 49ers (9-4)

4. Arizona Cardinals (3-9)

The Rams stay in first place despite their loss because of their win over the Seahawks earlier in the season. Both teams will square off again in Week 16.

The second-tie-breaker is divisional record, where the Rams currently have the advantage with a 2-1 mark as compared to Seattle's 2-2 record.

As for the Niners, they sit in third place because they have one more loss than both the Seahawks and Rams.

San Fran does have the superior divisional record over both Los Angeles and Seattle, though, and they currently hold the head-to-head advantage over the Seahawks. The Rams and Niners have split their two games this season.

In Week 14, the Niners have a bye while the Seahawks take on the Atlanta Falcons and the Rams will meet the Cardinals.

With their win on Sunday, the Seahawks keep their No. 5 spot in the conference, but the 49ers and Green Bay Packers (8-3-1) are right on their heels in the final wild-card spots.
