The Seattle Seahawks made one trade at the deadline, reuniting wide receiver Rashid Shaheed with Klint Kubiak in the Seattle offense.
It's a fun trade from a football perspective, but in fantasy, it makes things very interesting. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a must-start, while Tory Horton and Cooper Kupp are banged up.
Against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10, the decision of whether to start Shaheed or not is a tough one. There's reason for optimism and pessimism when it comes to Shaheed in Week 10. Should Shaheed be in lineups? There's a compelling case to be made.
Start Shaheed in fantasy Week 10
The Seahawks spent a fourth and fifth-round pick to land Shaheed, and he's going to factor into their offense this season. The only question is, how soon?
As Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic shares, the Seahawks' injury report indicates that Tory Horton is doubtful, while Cooper Kupp is questionable.
Seahawks say Cooper Kupp (heel/hamstring) is questionable to play against Arizona. Ernest Jones IV (knee) and Tory Horton (groin/shin) doubtful.

Josh Jobe, Jake Bobo, Dareke Young and Christian Haynes won’t play.

With both receivers dealing with injuries, the Seahawks would need Shaheed in the lineup. Despite just arriving in Seattle, Shaheed would be worth a start due to these injuries.
If both wind up being ruled out, Shaheed would be a great option for fantasy managers. In a Klint Kubiak offense with Sam Darnold, Shaheed could hit the ground running in Seattle.
Last season with Kubiak, Shaheed got hurt halfway through the year, playing just through Week 7. But, in the time before his injury, he was a key fantasy asset.
Shaheed had totals of 16.3, 20.9, 0.0, 15.7, 18.6, and 2.3 in Full PPR before his season-ending injury. He's a boom-bust option, but he has big-play ability that few other receivers in the NFL have.
With the Saints in 2025, Shaheed averaged 11.6 fantasy points per game in Full PPR. He had at least nine targets in each of his last three weeks. His share of the offense in Seattle will be different, but his high upside is what makes him so intriguing.
Against the Arizona Cardinals, the Seahawks' passing offense should be able to move the ball, making their wide receivers fantasy viable options. Shaheed, set to get work right from the beginning, is a decent option in Week 10.
It's a risky play, as would be the case with any receiver in their first game on a new team. But, despite the risk, due to Kupp being questionable and Horton being doubtful, Shaheed is worth a start in his first game in Seattle.
Receivers typically don't have incredible weeks in their first game since being traded. But his upside with Darnold and back in Kubiak's offense makes Shaheed a high-upside play in Week 10.
If he can maintain a stable role with the Seahawks, then Shaheed could be a must-start in good matchups. It's a good one this week against the Cardinals, and with the WR injuries, Shaheed is worth having in fantasy lineups to begin his Seattle career.
